Braniff up for massive game

Portaferry and Down star Paul Braniff
Down's Paul Braniff has described the Christy Ring Cup final against Kerry as "massive".
The Ardsmen face the Kingdom at Croke Park in the second-tier All-Ireland final on Saturday and full forward Braniff is hoping they can reverse their two-point first-round defeat to the same opposition:
"It's always competitive between the two teams," the Down captain says in The Irish News. "If we're honest, Kerry have probably come out on top more often so we'll certainly be looking to even things up this time.
"We played Kerry not so long ago and there was nothing between the teams so we're confident that we can go and get one over on them this time.
"It's massive. We've talked about getting to finals before and, really, there's no point getting to finals unless you win them.
"We're going to be focussed on putting in a performance next week and hopefully we can go one step better than we have before."
