Lar Corbett is making a steady recovery from the fractured ribs injury he sustained in the league final defeat to Kilkenny and is on course to line out for Tipperary against Limerick in the Munster SHC on June 9.
The Irish Examiner reports that Corbett has not resumed full contact training but Premier County sources say the 2010 Hurler of the Year has a good chance of proving his fitness ahead of the championship opener.
Meanwhile, Seamus Hennessy, Timmy Hammersley, and John O'Neill have been omitted from Tipperary's 31-man squad for the game against the Shannonsiders.
Hennessy is struggling to recover from a long-term knee injury while Clonoulty-Rossmore pair Hammersley and O'Neill have been deemed surplus to requirements.
Others who have failed to make the cut for the Limerick game include John Meagher, Adrian Ryan, Joey McLoughney, Sean Curran and Denis Maher.
