FBD League: O'Neill returns as Rossies win
January 30, 2011

Roscommon's Seamus O'Neill
Roscommon 1-15
GMIT 1-11
Seamus O'Neill returned to the Roscommon colours as the Connacht champions completed their FBD League programme with victory over GMIT in Ballyforan on Sunday.
O'Neill, the big midfielder, was back in the side for the first time in two years and he underlined his ability with a score as early as the second minute.
It was an encouraging performance by Roscommon on the whole, with ten different players scoring from play, although the manner in which their lead was chipped away in the final quarter will provide food for thought for manager Fergal O'Donnell.
His side led by ten points at one stage in the second half after Brian Cregg's goal and points from Cian Smith and Colm Garvey.
But GMIT, who had been humiliated by Leitrim during the week, finished the game on the front foot with Darren Clabby firing a fine goal.
