September 01, 2010

Meath referee David Coldrick
David Coldrick has been chosen as the referee for the All-Ireland senior football final between Cork and Down.

The Meath official will take charge of his second senior decider, having refereed the 2007 final when Kerry defeated Cork by 3-13 to 1-9.

The Blackhall Gaels clubman took up the whistle in 1994 as a 17-year-old and has also been Ireland's match official at the International Rules Series.

He took charge of the Ulster final between Tyrone and Monaghan earlier in the summer.

David will be assisted by umpires Tony Kearney, John Coldrick (both Blackhall Gaels), James Matthews (Cortown) and Stephen O'Hare (Syddan).

The stand-by referee for this fixture will be Gearóid Ó Conámha (Galway), the linesman is Maurice Deegan (Laois) and sideline official for the day, Syl Doyle (Wexford).

Sligo's Michael Duffy's (Enniscrone/Kilglass) has been appointed to the minor final between Cork and Tyrone. Duffy's brother Marty was the senior final referee last year.

His umpires for the minor final are Kevin Bourke (Enniscrone/Kilglass), Pat Cawley (Easkey), Pádraig McGourty (Glenfarne/Kiltycloger) and Pádraic Hamilton (Coolaney/Mullinabreena).

The stand by referee is Joe Curley (Meath), linesman Frank Flynn (Leitrim) and sideline official, John Fitzpatrick (New York).
