Club Notes – 05.07.2021 – Lacken-Kilbride

Fundraising Event in aid of the New Pitch Development

 

The Club are running a Sponsored Walk or Run around Kilbride village on Sunday the 25th of July followed by a Mini Field Day (BBQ, Face painting, Raffle, etc).

 

Starting and finishing in the new pitch, routes for Tots, Juveniles and Adults.  For sponsorship cards and routes, see on Facebook or email [email protected] – cards will be distributed at training over the coming weeks.  Contact Grace (0874007027) or Dan (0871714161) for any enquiries.

 

Men’s Football

 

Well done to the lads who won their first match of the season at home to An Tochar. Big shout out to Ben Harrington who played his first match for the Club at Adult Level and had a great game.  Final Score: 2-17 to 1-11.

 

Ladies Football

 

The Under 14 played An Tochar at home on Saturday, a great turnout and performance from all. Lots of potential in the group, Emily O'Reilly had a stormer in midfield never giving up until the final whistle.  Well done to all.

 

Juvenile Update

 

The Under 11’s continue to improve, they had a great win at home to Kevins, Lucy Keely with a cracking game and awarded Player of the Match.  The Under 12’s travelled to Newtown, lost, but continue to develop.  Player of the match Tommy Clarke.

 

Next Juvenile fixtures: Under 10’s at home to Shillelagh/Coolboy 12th of July at 7.30PM and the Under 11’s are out on the 14th of July verse St. Kevin’s at 7.30PM in Kilbride.

 

Club Defibrillator

 

Thank you to John Rossiter from First Aid Supplies (https://www.firstaidsupplies.ie/) who recently serviced the Club Defibrillator with a new battery and new pads.  It is located in the equipment room.

 

Portaloo

 

The support throughout the community and from local businesses has been unprecedented over the past few years as we develop our new facility, and the generosity continues…Jim Phibbs from Bluestream Waste Water Services (https://septictanks.ie/) has agreed to professionally service our Portaloo.  Thanks Jim and if you can support the clubs sponsors, please try your best.

 

Club Benches – Sponsorship from Kiernan Oil
