U13 – Good luck to Div 01 team playing their last championship group match away to Bray Mon 28 Sep 19.00 throw in.

Well done to u13 Div 03 squad who played fantastic football start to finish on Sun 27 Sep at home and had big win over Eire Og in the last round of championship.

U13 boys had a great training session with Paul Garrigan (Wicklow GDA) during the week. Thank you Paul. The lads really enjoyed it.

U11 – U11 Blue squad had a big win away to Eire Og on Sat 26 Sept on a scoreline of 59-15. The lads played some outstanding stuff and delivered a real team performance and now look forward to the finals in Ballinakill on Oct 10th as well as the Allen Cup final too. Special mention to our 3 new players Sam Byrne, Sean Curran and Rian Keogh who all did great.

U9 – Well done to the Under 9s who had a great game V Caragh in the Kildare League Saturday afternoon in Blessington. What a super afternoon for a match. The lads worked well in parts and got some great scores. Few things to work on in training, so see you all Monday evening at 6pm. Well done to all and thanks so much to Conor Rickardson and James Dooley for refereeing the match.

U10 – Away v Kilcock on Sat 3 Oct at 15.30.

U8 - Away Vs Confey on Sat 3 Oct at 14.30.

Academy - Thanks to Thomas Donohoe, Ethan Cotter and David Boothman for their help at the academy on Sat 26 Sept. The 31 boys and girls really enjoyed it.

Ladies

Junior – On Sat 3 Oct at 11.30am V Barndarrig in the Junior B County Final.  Good luck to all.

Minor – Away v Clanna Gael on Tues 29 Sept at 7.30pm. Fri 2 Oct Minor (B) Vs St Nicholas TBC.

U16 – Very hard luck to the U16 (A) ladies who played their hearts out in the Wicklow U16 championship final in Baltinglass on Tues 22 Sept. Following an exciting match Blessington were 0-1 point down. Sadhbh Fisher, with the last kick of the match, levelled the game with a fantastic 42-yard kick which split the uprights 3-06 to 0-15. Unfortunately, Tinahely walked away winners after a full time of extra time score Blessington 4-08 Tinahely 2-17. What a belter of a match. You did yourselves, family and club proud.

16B – Well done to the Blessington U16 white team who beat Coolkenno 5-2 to 1-10 in the U16B Shield Final on Wed 23 Sep. Well done all.

U12 – The 12 Blue team lost in a tough game Saturday 26 Sept in Arklow. These girls make us so proud. The girls played their socks off and could do no more up against a strong AGB (and tall) side. It went down to the wire before the ref disallowed Eabhas goal but that's the way it goes sometimes. The U12s have not lost a game in a couple of years so this will make them hungry when we come up against them or a strong team again. Well done girls, heads up high where they belong. POTM goes to Ciara Whelan. Good luck to her in her camogie final on Mon 28 Sep. See yo all Tuesday as normal at 6pm.

U10 – Well done to our U10 girls. We split into 3 teams and played Eadestown and Baltinglass on Sat 26 Sep in a mini blitz at home. Proud coaches today as always. These girls do Blesso proud every time. And are getting stronger and stronger with every match. Well done to every one of them. Thanks to Eadestown and Baltinglass for traveling.

U8 - Well done to our U8 girls who played superbly on Sat. Huge thanks to Baltinglass and Kilcullen for travelling to us for a great morning of football. Thanks to Lisa Jackson and the Healthy Club Committee for providing fruit for the girls.

Hurling

Junior – Hard luck to the lads who were beaten in the championship semi-final v Bray Emmets on Sat 26 Sep. It was a tough game and against all the odds, the team put in a battling performance to show what they are capable of, pulling it back from 16 points at one stage! This team has many more games in them and plenty of players to build for the future. Full time 3-14 to 4-16. The lads now head to a Junior B final. Well done to the Blessington GAA lads - Jake O’Kelly, Oisin Brogan, David Williamson, Kevin Quinn, David Phibbs, and Eoin Higgins who unfortunately was injured badly.

Minor - Well done to Michael Dwyers on the great win on Sun 27 Sep in the Minor B Championship Final. On the team from Blessington GAA are Brian Richardson, Conor Gallagher, Austin Brennan, Adam Williamson, Sam Gough, Conor Richardson and Finn Behan. Final score – Michael Dwyers 3-15 Carnew Emmets 2-09.

U13 - U13 hurling team had a great win in their Semi Final against Michael Dwyers. Well done to the boys, Mick, Gerry & the boss Bernard. Best of luck to them all in the Final.

U11 - Big performance from everyone, a great win. POTM could be anyone but Cormac in goals. James Mooney & Meabh Doyle caught my eye. We are in the final against Arklow on the 3 Oct at 10.30am.

U11 - In Blessington on Sun 4 Oct Vs St Laurence's at 12.00.

U9 – In Blessington on Sun 4 Oct Vs Cappagh at 11.00.

Academy – There were 40 kids attending the hurling academy on Wed night. Well done all.

Healthy Clubs – On Sun 27 Sept Blessington GAA opened their grounds as part of the health, fitness and inclusion week by inviting some amazing children from Blessington and the surrounding areas to take part in some fun games and basic football drills. To say they enjoyed it is an understatement!! Every one of the children got involved in the drills with such enthusiasm and were each awarded with a certificate of achievement and also a football that were kindly donated by Supervalu Blessington. The Healthy Club Team would like to thank John Magee and Declan Reape for helping with the coaching and to Julie Finan for her professional guidance on making sure that everything ran smoothly. Thanks to Julianne Willamson and Kathleen Brennan for helping with the refreshments. Finally, a huge thanks to the parents, siblings and buddies of these amazing children for coming along this morning and getting involved in what the HCP team hope can be a future fixture in our club calendar of events.

Second up was our game of rounders which unfortunately did not go ahead as we hadn’t enough players to make a team. But with the help of Kevin Gilmore who explained the rules we got in a few practice shots and runs and that alone showed the competition between some players to be intense. A good bit of fun all the same. Thanks Kevin and to everyone who did turn up this morning.
