Would be always suspicous of clubs producing managers for export, Gylnn always had loads of talent but failed to deliver on huge potential. Might be better if wandering managers were committed to bettering thier owm lot that following the silver dollar.

Glynn/Barntown have so many people managing other clubs at the moment. John Barron - Ferns Senior Hurling, Gary Laffan - Cloghbawn senior hurling, Jim McGovern - Horeswood - Senior Football, Willie Carley jnr - Craanford - Intermediate Hurling/Football.

What sort of club would Glynn Bartown be if all the talent people mentioned were fully engaed in their own club. I would suggest a very successful one and they could also enlist Tom Dempsey a prominet parsioner living with spitting distance of the field. Wexford need strong clubs and to have a strong club you need your best people involved.

I reckon they'd be the same sort of club they are now.......successful, I'm sure all of the guys mentioned would prefer to manage their own (although they mightn't get paid as muich!), there was obviously others who fitted the profile better. They are a club that have massive potential, just like the shels, can they carry it through to senior is the next question. I'm a firm believer that if any senior side can have 1-3 new young players joining a team each yr it is better than having 6-7 every year, lots won;t get game time and will fade away over time, after all some players only come into their own at 20+ and many have given up by that stage if not given a chance with the senior setup from 17-18-19

The point I was making was if Glynn Bartown had all their club men involvevd at differnt levels nothing but good would come out of it. Everyone don't have to be over the senior teams to contribute, if Tom Dempsey can coach an under 14 feile football team anything is possible.

if your interested in being over a team luvgaa , a senior team is the one to get. very frustrating in being over a second team in a club as attitude towards training can be poor. as well as that , your nearly guaranteed to lose your best players to senior team during the year. wouldnt blame any of those guys for taking over senior teams or in willie carley juniors case intermediate team. also think its a bit of a cheap shot to intimate money being a huge factor with them. they could be doing it for free or just getting expenses. anyway as i said laffan got out voted by shane carley so u cant blame him for taking another club surely?

I am off the that if you are not over the senior team and you offer your services to other clubs is very short sighted and indicative of the ills of GAA in Wexford now. Everyone thinks of personal gain in terms of return for their input.
GAA should not be for profit or personal gain but a club of like minded people with a common goal for the greater good. Wexford need strong clubs
