Junior Football Championship

Ballinagore 0-07 CFCW 4-11

Hard luck to our junior footballers who lost against Castletown Finea Coole Whitehall last Saturday evening. Our side has been ravaged by injuries this season and great credit goes to the lads who have stepped up in these challenging times. We put in a great effort on the evening but our opponents ability to get goals and their overall experience told in the end as they won on a score of 4-11 to 0-07. As always, we will dust ourselves down and prepare for our final group game against St Paul’s in a fortnights time. Team: Ian Seery, Conan Feery, Marty Linnane, Robbie Keegan, Enda Claffey, Peter Deegan, Cathal Kelly, Brendan Heeney, Peter Reynolds, Darren Rigney, James Sheerin, Darragh Seery, Michael Ennis, David Keegan, Paddy Ennis. Subs: Cathal Daly, James Durkan, Brian Sheerin.

Club Gym

With the recent announcements on lifting of restrictions and guidelines issed from the GAA, we intend to re-open our gym on Monday 27th September. This is great news for members and we are coming into the time of year where gym usage becomes popular. A maximum of 6 will be able to use the facility concurrently. Activity is underway this week to prepare the gym for re-opening in a safe manner. Access FOB keys will have to be re-coded so members are asked to attend at the pitch on Friday evenings to complete this action.

Other News

Thanks to our club members who stewarded at the two games played in Ballinagore over the weekend. In particular, the game on Sunday morning had a significantly large number of cars and with the restricted parking due to our ongoing development, this was very challenging so well done to all who ensured everyone got in and out safely.
