ACFL DIVISION ONE    Castledaly 2-14(20) St. Loman's 4-16(28)
The visitors early 4 goal glut was clawed back to just a 3 points
deficit as both teams looked towards the 4th quarter, but the home
team improvement and fight back in the 2nd half performance was only
eclipsed by St. Loman's strong finish to claim win.

An early goal fest might often turned a gaelic game into a one sided
event of little or no entertainment, but Castledaly are of tougher
metal in recent years, and rose to the challenge .
Scores from Lorcan Dolan who continued his recent excellent county
form , the always improving Adam Turley from his midfield station, and
a goal from the evergreen John Warburton, had trimmed the half time
score to trail by 3 goals (1-07 to 4-07)

In the second half Castledaly continued their uphill battle and
inspired to close the deficit to three points just before the second
water break through excellent play and a fine goal from Dan Heavin,
ably supported in sharp shooting from Justin Coughlan, Alan Stone, and
Lorcan Dolan.

With the second water break Castledaly trailed 2-11(17) 4-09(21) and
four points in arrears , and Castledaly looked for a final push for a
win.  Tagging on three points in the final fifteen minutes proved
small return on the day, as  the impressive St. Loman’s team remained
in strong form and their return of 7 points brought the final score to
Castledaly 2-14(20) St. Loman's 4-16(28)

Despite the early setback, Castledaly showed great skill and
determination and in particular their 2nd half improvement and the
added experience will bode well for the teams future outings.
