Division 3

On Sunday morning our first team took on Mullingar Shamrocks in Springfield. After a difficult start, the lads settled and at half time, after being seven points down, we were four points up at the half way mark, as Alan Mangan found the net with his penalty kick. The game continued where it was a draw for the majority of the second half with each team clawing back every time. After the tit-for-that last quarter, Shamrocks ended up with the winning score in the 67th minute of the game. Final score: Malachys 1-16, Mullingar Shamrocks 2-14.

Division 6

On Saturday evening last, we travelled to Ballycomoyle for the opening game of the year. After many years of only having one team in the league, this year, we have two teams and our second team were victorious at the end of the 60 minute game. Final score; St. Malachys 2-19 to Ballycomoyle 2-04.

GoGames

The u9's and u 11's had their first go games in Garrycastle on Saturday morning last. This is great for the children after many months of their activities being cancelled.
