Lighting up of Raharney walking track:

As you may be aware Raharney hurling & camogie club are in the process of raising funds to light up the walking track in Joristown Park!

After initially approaching some people to gauge interest in sponsoring a light post, we’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response and your generosity. In the spirit of transparency, we would like to raise all possible funds and use any excess for our next priority developments, which we are determining as a Committee and via your ideas through the current Club Plan survey.

We have various sponsorship options available, based on a standard contribution of €100. Your valued contribution will be acknowledged via a Track-light name plate depending on your preference & quota of lights required, as well as on a Light-up-Joristown walkway sponsorship plaque next to the Clubhouse and walkway itself.

Thank you everyone for your generosity towards making Joristown Park a great amenity for all members!

Please contact Conor Jordan, Pat Cunneen or Declan Weir if interested!

Joristown Park Facilities Upgrade

We are delighted to have successfully completed the installation of an 18,000litre wastewater treatment & percolation system at Joristown Park.

Completed over 4 days and excellently led by our Facilities Officer Ken Fitzsimons, with essential equipment provided by Shay Murtagh Ltd, Fitzsimon’s Landscaping, Paul Scally and Pat Cunneen Construction, as well as expertise from Ray Smyth and Colm McKeogh. It could not have been completed without the countless club volunteers who gave freely of their time throughout the installation, and not forgetting the great brekkie rolls, teas and coffees from Tom Keyes and Imelda at Gala!

This critical development will facilitate the Hurling & Camogie Clubs to fully host games & competitions as well as clubhouse functions in the future, in an environmentally secure and safe way.

Walking Track

The club would like to remind all walkers to ensure they have their membership paid before using the Walking Track. Walking track membership for the year is €25 and can be paid at Weirs shop Raharney or to any member of the committee.
