The return of captain Conor Prunty is one of five changes to the Waterford team for tomorrow's All-Ireland SHC qualifier versus Laois at UPMC Nowlan Park.

Manager Liam Cahill has opted to shake things up following a disappointing display against Clare in the Munster quarter-final, with Prunty a welcome boost at full-back.

Meanwhile, Shaun O'Brien comes into goal in place of Billy Nolan, Ian Kenny replaces Shane McNulty at corner-back and Neil Montgormey starts ahead of Darragh Lyons in midfield.

In attack, Patrick Curran is preferred to Peter Hogan as the injury-hampered Shane Fives also makes away in the reshuffle.

Waterford (All-Ireland SHC v Laois): Shaun O'Brien; Conor Gleeson, Conor Prunty, Ian Kenny; Calum Lyons, Iarlaith Daly, Kevin Moran; Austin Gleeson, Neil Montgomery; Jack Fagan, Jack Prendergast, Stephen Bennett; Dessie Hutchinson, Shane Bennett, Patrick Curran.

Subs: Billy Nolan, Shane McNulty, Darragh Lyons, Billy Power, Peter Hogan, Michael Kiely, Jamie Barron, Jake Dillon, Shane Fives, Colin Dunford, Mikey Kearney.
