Harlesden Harps complete their Intermediate Championship group games this coming Saturday, 21st August at 4:00pm, against Tír Chonaill Gaels. at the county ground of McGovern Park in Ruislip (14 Masson Avenue, HA4 6QU). As usual, make sure you check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and ensure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation for the game.

Keep an eye on https://twitter.com/harlesdenharps during the week for any changes to the match details.

Previous matches:

The Harps continued their impressive start to this years’ Intermediate Championship with a clinical performance against Éire Óg on Sunday. Some early goals were the key to setting the tone for this game as old stagers Ashley O’Halloran and Ben O’Connor scored early majors as well as Ryan McSherry’s sweetly struck spot kick finding the net. With a comfortable half time lead it was all about keeping the scoreboard ticking over in the second half and Ashley OH banged in another couple of three-pointers for his hat-trick to ease us to a comfortable 5-11 to 1-08 victory.

This second win followed up the previous weeks’ win over Cú Chulainns where there was also another match ball going home with a Harps player as Ryan McSherry ended the game with an impressive personal haul of 3-04 – a nice contribution to the comprehensive 4-09 to 0-07 victory.

Training:

Training continues every week taking place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, at 7:00pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). A physio will be there on Tuesdays for any niggles you may have. Any new players wishing to "play a bit a ball" are very welcome to come along to this well-run club. If needed we can offer good jobs, along with accommodation and a social life to our members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged.
