Clonoe O'Rahillys club notes

September 28, 2020

Last week lotto numbers were 5, 19, 20 and 29.  There were no jackpot winners, one matched three numbers; Kieran Hughes.  Next week’s jackpot is £1,100

Last Saturday our seniors finished off their league campaign with a home game against local rivals Coalisland.  In a tightly contested game throughout where the lead changed hand several times, the Rahillys managed to get themselves in front with a few minutes to go. Coalisland had a chance to level the game with a late free but this was missed.  This meant Clonoe run out winners on a score line of 0.10 to 0.09.  The reserves also finished their league campaign with a home defeat against Coalisand. This means that the senior football is over for the year; all attention now turns to the reserves.  The quarter final of the reserve championship is down for this weekend.  Watch local press and social media for details.

Best of luck to our u14 boys and management this weekend who play the Moy in the championship final.  Again watch local press and social media on details of the game.

Our u16 girls played Donaghmore on Thursday night. In an excellent display of football the young Rahilly team run out deserved winners.

History was made last Sunday when the Clonoe u14 girls were the first Clonoe team to play Grade One football. They made an excellent start to their season by running out deserved winners against the Moy.

Also on Saturday a lot of our legends dust down the boots again when they play Derrytresk in a legends game on Saturday.  The game is at Half four on Saturday in Rahilly Park.  Rumour has it the Clonoe team has been training intensely after lockdown for this game. Hope the rumours are true!!

Winners of the hundred club for September were; £500 Marty Hughes, £100 Barry Taggart and Gerard O’Neill.

Saying of the week;  Sláinte chuig na fir agus go maire na mná go deo! Health to the men and may the women live forever
