Kildare footballers host Kerry in Christmas challenge

Kildare will face Kerry in a glamour pre-Christmas senior football challenge match in Newbridge.

The meeting of the Tailteann Cup and All-Ireland champions takes place on Saturday, December 20 at 5pm in Cedral St Conleth’s Park. It will see Kerry manager Jack O’Connor return to his old stomping ground and will be an opportunity for both managements to prepare for the 2026 season, which begins early in the New Year with the return of the pre-season competitions.

General admission is €15, with €10 for students and OAPs. Entry for U16s is free.

New Mayo manager Andy Moran recently revealed that his team also have a charity game lined up against Offaly on Sunday, December 21. Inter-county teams are permitted to return to collective training from Friday, November 21.
