Former Limerick hurling star Niall Moran feels that Cork “are starting to get their identity back”.

Kieran Kingston’s side saw off Clare’s challenge at the weekend to book their slot into the All-Ireland SHC quarter-finals where they will face Dublin this Saturday evening at Semple Stadium (throw-in 7.30pm).

Speaking on RTE's Game On, Moran has been impressed by the Rebels’ rise but reckons it could be another season before they fulfil their potential.

"Cork are definitely coming with a strong team," he said. "They were down by seven to Tipperary last week and came back to win by seven. Cork teams had not being doing that.

"Against Clare last Saturday they were in control, then found themselves a point down and rallied, even without a man for a critical part.

"They are coming. Are they coming with a team capable of winning an All-Ireland this year? I still don’t think so, but they are starting to get their identity back, and that spells trouble for other counties."
