Cork GAA club postpone return to underage training amid concerns over Covid-19 outbreak

Killeagh GAA defer plans for underage training.

Concerns over a Covid-19 outbreak "in the locality and particularly in local schools" have forced the Killeagh GAA club in Cork to postpone their return to underage training for the next three days.

Underage non-contact group training has been permitted to resume from today.

However, Killeagh GAA in East Cork have deferred plans to start back training for underage players following advise by the Gardai.

"We have been advised by local Gardai that, given an outbreak of Covid-19 in the locality and particularly in local schools, we postpone our return to collective training for the next 3 days (Monday 26th, Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th)," Killeagh GAA said in an update on social media.

"We apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience but we would urge all of our members to respect the Covid-19 Guidelines and play their part in limiting the spread.

"We will review again on Wednesday and will return to action as soon as we can safely do so. Stay safe everyone. Hold Firm."
