Laois manager Eddie Brennan has urged his players to make the most of home advantage in their ‘must-win’ game against Carlow on Saturday evening.

Both sides have suffered three defeats from three outings during the HL1B campaign so far and realistically, the loser of this weekend’s clash at O’Moore Park looks set to be in a relegation play-off with one game to go.

Brennan watched on as his charges lost out to Clare in terrible conditions last Sunday afternoon, but he has now turned his attention to the Carlow game.

“It’s real championship fare and look, they are the matches that you look forward to. It’s on our own patch so we have to make that count,” Brennan told the Leinster Express.

“It’s winner takes all literally and we just have to get home now, get the heat back in the bodies and reset for next week.”
