Kilruane MacDonaghs manager Liam O’Kelly says he’s very much aware of the task at hand as his side prepare to take on Waterford kingpins Ballygunner in the Munster club SHC this weekend.

O’Kelly’s men defeated Kiladangan last weekend to land their club’s first Tipperary senior hurling championship crown in 37 years.

Now, they face the reigning All-Ireland champions at Walsh Park on Sunday (1.30pm) looking to keep their run alive and are currently 11/2 outsiders to dethrone the Gunners.

“It’ll be an honour to go and represent Tipperary," he told TippFM Sport.

“We could have had maybe easier opposition, let’s call a spade a spade, you know, All-Ireland champions.

“We’ll have to regroup and see where the injuries are and see. We’ll put a team out next Sunday and we’ll go to play them and we’ll take it from there.”
