Underage Roundup
It was a busy day for our underage players on Saturday last.
Our under 8 girls travelled to Moystown for a blitz, our Under 10s played two games against St Sinchills in Killeigh and our U12s travelled to Edenderry to take on the home team. Thank you to Belmont, St Sinchills and Edenderry for hosting our teams.
Well done to our under 14 team who recorded an impressive win over St Rynaghs last week.
Offaly Teams
Congratulations to the minor team who recorded a good win over Kildare in the championship. Tullamore were well represented with Leah Gallagher, Chloe Fogarty, Ciara Brady, Marie Cantwell and mentors Declan Fogarty, Mark Gallagher and Rachel Fogarty. Hard luck to Sarah Walsh, Becky Bryant and the Offaly senior camogie team who were unlucky against Limerick. Congratulations to Offaly under 20 footballers on reaching the All Ireland Final and the Offaly hurlers on their victory over Derry in the Christy Ring Cup Final.
Caman and Chats
Our ‘Hurl with Me’ Programme finished up recently but will be resuming on 9th August with "Caman & Chats" - a social camogie game. If anyone is interested in joining, please contact Tullamore Camogie Club through their social media platforms or contact Miriam O’Callaghan or any member of the committee.
Tullamore Camogie Club Summer Camp
Our annual ‘Summer Camp’ took place last week with 60 girls taking part. We had a fantastic week of fun and camogie. Each day the girls worked on camogie skills, drills and games and they also got to enjoy different activities. On Monday, the girls enjoyed yoga with Patricia McLoughlin, on Tuesday they did zumba with Dorinda Cahill and on Wednesday enjoyed a tour of O’Connor Park with Noel Cooney, a visit from Alpacas to O’Brien Park from Hilltop Alpaca Farm and then finished the camp off with ice-cream with thanks to Jim Kirwan and Cúlcow.
A massive thank you to all our volunteers who coached the girls over the 3 days, helped with check in, helped organise the camp and much more. Thank you also to Thomas Hannon our visiting coach who worked on camogie skills and drills with our girls. The camp would not have been possible without all the fantastic and dedicated people we have in our club. Thank you to our camp sponsor Rose Finlay Total Health Pharmacy and to Tullamore GAA for the use of their facilities. In particular thank you to caretaker Noel Doyle. We hope the girls all had a great time at the camp. Well done to everyone involved.

We wish senior player Eimear Gallagher a very speedy recovery after she picked up a shoulder injury in training. Hopefully it’s not long until we see Eimear back in the blue and white jersey.
