Dinner Dance.

The 1994 Offaly Intermediate Football Champions will be the guests of honour at the Club’s Presentation Dinner Dance in the Bridge House Hotel on Saturday next 15th February at 7.30 pm. The 1994 Minor Football team who contested the Minor A Final against Rhode and the 2019 Division 5 Football League winners are invited guests on the night. Also in attendance will be the Ballycumber Ladies who helped Naomh Ciaran win the Ladies All Ireland Final and the ladies who helped St Manchan’s win the Offaly Junior Championship. This promises to be a great night out and all tickets must be ordered before Wednesday as the Hotel require accurate numbers attending the function. Tickets are available from committee members and from Kathryn in Gussies.

Leinster Underage Football Leagues.

Congratulations to St Manchan Gaels under 13 footballers who recorded a 4—17 to 5—8 win against Celbridge, Kildare in Doon on Saturday to add to their victory in Meath last week when they outscored St Ultans/Cortown Gaels by 4—10 to 3—3.

The under 15 team travelled to Rath Charan in Meath and came away with a 8—19 to 1—4 victory against Clan na nGael. Last week they proved too strong for Mostrim , Longford in Ballycumber. Their next fixture will be against Caulry, Westmeath on Saturday 22nd February in Ballycumber at 2.30. Those two teams deserve our support at their matches.

Offaly Under20.

Congratulations to Offaly Under20 team and management on their first round Leinster Championship win in Louth on Saturday. They face Kildare next weekend.

Membership.

Membership fees are now due and should be paid to Registrar Angela Kelly as soon as possible.

The fees are as follows. Players. 60 euros, Family [ 2 adults and children under 17]. 50 euros. Social [ use of Walking Track]. 25 euros. Under 17. 10 euros. Student in education. 20 euros.

A special offer for Adult and Student members only is one entry for twelve months to the Club Lotto for 60 euros.

Ballycumber Dance Classses

Learn how to Jive, Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot and Line dance. Dance Classes every Monday night from 8pm in Ballycumber Community Centre.  Beginners class 8 - 9, Improvers from 9 - 10 and dancing for all from 10 - 11pm. Great exercise and good fun, no partners required. Slow Waltz classes from 7pm, contact Christopher on 0868474744 for more information.

History.

Ballycumber History Group are continuing to research the 101 men and women from the Ballycumber area who fought in World War 1. The group would appreciate any information on any of the men and women who answered the call and would love to meet family members.

Club Hats.

 Club Hats are on sale from committee members.

Lotto.

The numbers drawn this week were 1,5,12,31.
