As stated in last weeks notes Killian Mc Geough has stopped selling lotto envelopes in his area. Thanks again is extended to Killian however Gerard & Eimear Mc Geough and Family will start selling envelopes in Killians area and many thanks is extended to them.

 

Seniors: The Senior team played in Round 3 of the Intermediate Championship last Sunday away against Eire Og. On the day the home side prevailed victorious on a score line of 1-9 to 0-11. In the first half Aughnamullen went into an early 0-5 to 0-1 lead however the home side came back into the game and at half time the sides were level at 0-9 to 1-6. In the second half scores were at a premium and in the end a free given to Eire Og  proving the difference in the end. The next game in the Championship is at home to Killanny on the 9th of October at 4.30pm.

 

U17: The U17 team play at home to Aghabog this Saturday the 25th of September at 1pm and best wishes is extended to the team and management

 

U15: Both our U15 teams were successful in the Championship last weekend. On Saturday last our A team produced a good performance when accounting for Magheracloone by 2-12 to 1-8. The basis for this win was an excellent opening first half where they led at half time courtesy of 2 goals. In the second half Magheracloone tried to get back into the game and although they reduced the lead to 4 points  Aughnamullen kicked on and ran out winners. This result sets them up for championship semi final against Inniskeen on Saturday 2nd October in Inniskeen at 11am.

On Sunday last the B Team played Inniskeen and had a comfortable victory. This was a great team performance with all players getting a run. Following this result the draw for the semi final and final was drawn and as a result Aughnamullen have reached the final and are to play the winners of Emyvale & Truagh on the weekend of the 17th of October.
