Training: Training for our Reserves and U15's continues, please ensure that you continue the safe return to play guidelines. In ongoing efforts to facilitate the return to play all guidelines need to be followed to facilitate this safe return. It is essential that all coaches, mentors, management, committee members, players and the parents of underage players complete the eLearning module prior to any return to the Club. It is also essential that all coaches, mentors, management, players and the parents of underage players complete the Health Questionnaire, this must be resubmitted prior to each training session and match.

U15 Division 3 Championship: It was not to be last Saturday 19th September for our U15’s as they came off second best in the play-off against Inniskeen for the Cup or Shield. The team went in to this game full of confidence and started brightly with the opening 2 scores within the opening minute of the match. Inniskeen answered back with a goal and 2 points, with a further 2 goals for CnG and another for Inniskeen it left this all square at the water break, at 2:02 each. This game was played in great spirits from end to end and was very competitive throughout with some great moments of play by both teams. Some unforced errors and poor decision making on the ball cost CnG and Inniskeen capitalised. Following the WB Inniskeen were scoring the better with a goal and 3 points to our 2 points, HT Score 2:04 - 3:05. The second half resumed and CnG had the wind on their backs, this should have given us the advantage, however the lads could not use this to their benefit and struggled to feed the forwards that all important last ball. Inniskeen kept picking off their scores and went in at the water break to the good at 3:05 to 4:07. The lads were determined to give it their all-in final quarter but as much as they tried it just was not to be. Inniskeen finished out the game as deserved winners on a FT Score CnG 3:06 Inniskeen 4:09. We would like to wish Inniskeen the best of luck in the Cup going forward. We now play in the Shield semi-final against St Mary’s na Mullai, time, date and venue to be confirmed but is expected to be played this Saturday 26th September, details to be circulated on social media once known.
