A strong final quarter secured the first victory for St Ultans in this years Tailteann Cup.

Moynalty were the opposition but it was the hosts who started much the brighter and led six points to one at the water-break. The Ultans scores coming from a brace of frees from Gearoid Rennicks and a point each from play from Adam Rogers, Mark Allen, Martin Dolan and Tommy Buchanan. Moynalty dominated the second quarter and narrowed the gap to one at the break, the only Ultans score in this period coming from Adam Rogers.

After the break the sides continued to exchange scores with Ultans efforts coming from Gary Rogers, Breslin (2) , Gearoid Rennicks free and a fine effort from full forward Ruairi Buchanan. Substitutes played a big role for Ultans and in the final quarter and Darragh Reilly and Johnny Foster both scored in the final quarter along with free’s from  Geraroid Rennicks and Gary Rogers and scores from play from Tommy and Ruairi Buchanan, Next up for St Ultans is a trip to Kilbride in the Tailteann cup next Wednesday.
