Folks what are your views on the SHC been played on the 1st Oct. I think Meath GAA should change to the Saturday respect the families and supporters and allow them travel to support there County in Limerick. Some of the teams involved in SHC have girls playing in the Camogie a hard decision for parents and families to make. Even the supporter will Kildalkey/Kiltale supporters go to Limerick. It is been said now the IHC is on the Saturday why not have both on I wont pay in to IHC on Sat and SHC on Sunday pure greed. It is down on the planner that both are on the 1st.

Meath GAA will loose out. They should consult with the clubs on this and it would be good for both associations to allow all travel and see both games. MEATH GAA put the families - players - supporters 1st not the pocket.

I'm sure both games will go ahead Saturday.

If the county board were thinking with their pockets it'd make more sense to have a double header Saturday. Attendances would be way down on the Sunday as a lot of Meath people who would usually attend the SHC would go to Limerick. On paper the camogie looks like a better contest to be honest.

If it suits both clubs/players, then I hope the Senior Hurling Final is moved to the Saturday. Brothers and sisters on the same teams from both clubs.

Ah it can be played Sunday at 12 kiltale have it won before half time and we can head for limerick and still be in time

Common sense has prevailed. Senior final has been switched to Saturday at 4.30.

So SHC & IHC Final now fixed for the 30th Sept - Meath Senior Hurling Final,

Saturday 30th Sept
IHC Final - Na Fianna v O'Mahony's at 14-30pm in Pairc Tailteann.
SHC Final - Kiltale v Kildalkey will be played at 16-30pm in Pairc Tailteann.

Now all on the Sunday travel in force to Limerick
