Luke Jennings - Blackhall Gaels

Jenkinstown Gaels 8-5 Slane 1-8

A hat trick in each half from Luke Jennings will see Jenkinstown Gaels playing football in December as they qualified for the Under 20 D Football Championship Final.

The Blackhall Gaels/Moynalvey outfit were comprehensive winners over Slane on Saturday. The Blackhall man had his first hat trick inside the opening ten minutes as Jenkinstown put Slane to the sword to set up a mouthwatering final against Rathkenny this Friday.

Vinny Walsh added 1-3 to his side's tally while there were points for Charlie McCormack and Kealan Forde with Michael Brady also finding the net.

Jenkinstown Gaels were the better team throughout and held a 5-5 to 0-4 at the break. Slane did push the blue and maroon in the second half but a second hat trick from Jennings in the final quarter blew Slane away.
