This game was well poised at half time with 4 points separating the sides as Tones trailed 0 05 to 1 06 but would have the aid of a strong breeze for the second half. However in a significant period in the second half Skryne were boosted by goal just after they had been reduced to 14 men on a black card offence which left them 2 07 to 0 06 ahead. Tones fumbled a great goal chance shortly afterwards which would have brought them right back into contention and although they worked hard, they couldn’t close the gap just shading the closing period 1 02 to 0 04.
