Oldcastle GFC are delighted to introduce BD Flood as our new Main Sponsor. Founded in 1938, the Flood Group began with the extraction of aggregate and the production of ready-mix concrete and blocks. In recent decades an expansion into precast floor products has seen the company grow to be a major player in the industry in Ireland. A great local employer, the company has long had a super reputation, and is a lynchpin of the Oldcastle economy.
This evening we were proud to host Tim Flood at our pitch in Millbrook, where he presented new jerseys to our Senior Team Captains Jason Scully and Ciara Brown. They were very impressed with the new jerseys, which will hopefully inspire both teams on to great heights this year!
As well as new sets of jerseys for both Senior Teams, the sponsorship deal includes funding towards equipment for our Juvenile club and generous support for both Senior Clubs. Speaking at the presentation, Oldcastle Ladies Gfc Chairman PJ Coyle said: “This is a great partnership between our historic Gaelic football club and one of the oldest companies in Oldcastle. We hope to do BD Flood proud.”
Brendan Halpin, Juvenile Chairman was delighted with the new sponsorship deal and thanked BD Floods for their generosity, highlighting how much the new equipment would mean for the juvenile section of the club.
Senior Club Chairman Seamus Maxwell was equally enthused, saying “This is a great boost to Oldcastle Gfc and we are delighted to have BD Flood on board. With new sponsors, new senior management and a great panel of players, the whole aim now from our end of the club is on improvement on the football pitch, and this is a great boost to that aspiration.”
Tim Flood of BD Flood said they were very excited to sponsor the club, and wished all teams every success both on and off the pitch in the years to come.
Our Senior ladies wore their new jerseys for the first time this evening as they took on Senschalstown in Millbook, a victorious first outing with a score of Oldcastle 3-12, Senchalstown 1-14.
Our Senior men will give their jerseys their first outing this Wednesday evening as they take on Longwood in the Corn na Boinne fourth round in Millbrook.
