Kildalkey 0-12 Drumree 0-11
Kildalkey’s third string headed for Drumree on Sunday morning and came home with a hard fought 1 point win after coming from behind with 10 minutes to go.
Short 5 starters from the previous week the village started well with points from Mattie Cully, Cha Egan and Paul Fagan but went in a point behind at the break 0-6 tot 0-7
And went further behind at the second water break 0-9 to 0-7 and with 10 minutes remaining it was 0-10 to 0-7 but a battling last 10 minutes yielded 5 points from Ger Geoeghan a Mattie Cully free and a great Martin Browne point on the run and 2 more Cully points sealed an unlikely one point win as it finished 0-12 to 0-11 as they kept playing to the finish line.
Enda Fitzgerald Kevin Murray and young Liam Carroll were solid at the back brothers Ciaran and Martin Browne and the ever improving Cully were great up front as the village gained their third win of the weekend
Three Browne brothers finished the game for Kildalkey as young Cormac joined Martin and Ciaran all willing to help the cause
