Lahardane edged out Crossmolina on Saturday at Bofeenaun to claim this year's Padraic Garrett Memorial Cup.

Inspired by Shane Loftus from right half-forward, the winners took an early lead before Crossmolina drew the game level with two points from Donal Corrigan on the quarter hour mark.

It was another Loftus, Paul, that put the visitors in front for the first time and when Corrigan sent over two frees Crossmolina looked the more likely side, but Lahardane brought their deficit down to two for the break when Patrick Rowland and Shane Loftus both raised the umpire's white flag.

The home side raced out of the traps for the second-half to register three unanswered points from Kyle Nolan, Ray McDermott and Gearoid Cronin before Loftus and Paul Coleman pushed them three clear.

JG Loftus looked to stem the tide for Crossmolina with an over, but two points from substitute Adrian Leonard hauled Lahardane over the line and towards the Cup. Tweet
