All remaining Mayo GAA club fixtures for this year have been called off.

The Mayo CCC hoped to complete outstanding 2020 county competitions but informed clubs that these would be suspended in light of the new Covid-19 restrictions, although underage training is allowed but must be on a non-contact basis in small groups.

"Due to the current Level 5 restrictions in place the CCC of Mayo GAA have cancelled all remaining club fixtures within the county," a Mayo GAA statement reads.

"This step was not taken lightly and it is hoped that clubs can appreciate the situation that we all find ourselves in during these most difficult times.

"Under age players are still permitted to train in non-contact pods.

"We ask all clubs and their members to please stay safe by continuing to adhere to HSE and Government guidelines."
