Well done to our u13 boys team who beat Na Piarsaigh in the 2nd Round of the League on a scoreline of 5-6(21) to 2-3(9)Well done to Naomh Fionnbarra Junior men who beat Naomh Malachi on a scoreline of 1-14(17) to 0-5(5) at John Markey Park on Tuesday in the 2nd Round of the Division 6 League. Hard luck to Naomh Fionnbarra Senior Ladies team who lost to St. Brides in the 5th Round of the Winter League on scoreline of 2-8(14) to 3-3(12) at Knockbridge on Sunday. Hard luck to the Louth Senior team who lost to Kildare in the Quarter Final of the Leinster Senior Championship in Tullamore on Sunday.
JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP DRAW
On Tuesday was the draw was made for the Louth GAA Junior Football Championship. Our lads were drawn in a group with Stabannon Parnells GFC and Sean McDermotts GFC.
DARKNES INTO LIGHT
Our walking track and car park will be open for anyone wishing to take part in Darkness Into Light 2022 in their own way on Sat 7th May 05:00-07:00. Sunrise will be at 05:38. Register now or donate at www.darknessintolight.ie. Wear reflective clothing, wrap up warm, recycle an old DIL tshirt if you have one, and bring a torch. No dogs or bicycles permitted on the walking track.
CUMANN NA MBUNSCOIL
Euan Cosgrove & Saoirse Murray from St Finian NS school and Ella Mulroy & Darragh Hand from Scoil Naomh Cholmcille represented their schools at the Cumann na mBunscoil football skills final last Thursday in Darver. Clódagh Caraher represented St Finian’s for camogie. The players had to compete in their local schools first & then they progress onto the final in Darver.
GOLF CLASSIC
Louth Coaching and Games is running a Golf Classic on Friday 27th May in Greenore Golf Club. All proceeds of this will go directly towards our academy squad teams both hurling and football. Louth Camogie Minors
Congratulations to Orla Woods and Keeva Rendall who represented Louth in the Leinster Camogie - An Cumann Camógaíochta Minor C final on Saturday in Abbotstown. Unfortunately, the team came out second best against a strong Wicklow team. This marks the end of the minor intercounty season, but this team can be very proud of their performances in 2022, winning 2 games in All-Ireland Minor ‘C’ competition and bring the Shield back to Louth.
Louth U-14 Camogie
St Anne’s were equally represented on the Under 14 Louth development squad who had an excellent win against Monaghan. Well done to Clodagh, Rachel, Sadierose and Síorcha on playing in Louth’s first game of the season.
U-16 Club Camogie
The amalgamated team of St. Anne’s, St Brides Camogie and Na Piarsaigh/Blackrock CLG had a good win against Cooley. Congrats to St. Anne’s players Niamh, Leah, Sadierose and Roisin.
U-8 / U-10 Hurling/Camogie Blitz
Thanks to Mattock Rangers Camogie Club Collon, for their recent organisation of a Juvenile Hurling and Camogie blitz. All players had a great day. Thanks to all the coaches and parents who facilitated in the running of this event.
