Championship: Our senior championship campaign will start on Sunday 12th September against Mattock Rangers in the Gaelic Grounds Drogheda, throw in time 5.30pm.
Underage: Under 13’s are in the championship semi-final next Sunday evening at 6pm against Glen Emmets. The U15 A Championship will begin on 20th September and we are in group 1 along with Cooley Kickhams and St. Fechins. The under 12’s league will begin on September 15th we are the eastern region along with St. Kevins, St. Finbarrs, St. Fechins, Naomh Mairtin and Draednots. Our U17 (minor) have played 5, won 4 and one draw and have qualified for the next round in the league. Our U16s started their league campaign last night with a win against St. Kevins in the eastern region and will also play St. Fechins, Naomh Fionnbarra and the Dreadnots.
Ticket: The winner of the All-Ireland hurling final ticket from our club was Bernard Osbourne.
80th: Congratulations to one of our members and long time supporters Joey Kelledy from Mayne who celebrated his 80th birthday a few weeks ago. Best wishes Joey from all at O’Connells GFC.

Help: Te club would to thank Nurse Margaret Marriott from Annagassan for stopping to assist and attend to club Treasurer Martin O’Hanrahan who was feeling ill during a Guard of Honour for former player Terry Casey on Saturday morning. Glad to report Martin (BÓ) is feeling much better and ready to resume full duties.
Kit: All in our underage teams would like to thank the club for supplying all kids from U16 down to nursery with club shorts and socks, and our nursery with O’Connells t-shirts.
