Naomh Fionnbarra club notes

March 29, 2021

Naomh Fionnbarra & St Anne's GFG membership for 2021 is now OPEN!  The club membership is handled using the same system (Foireann) that was used for your “Return to Play” questionnaires last year on https://returntoplay.gaa.ie/.

There are 6 different membership types available. These are all priced on the website.  For those who struggle with completing the online registration, we will be offering alternatives later in the month including an opportunity to do so in person. Please note the website will accept payment online which goes directly to the club with a small fee. If you prefer to pay in person you may select that option and pay directly to one of a committee member.

Naomh Fionnbarra & St. Anne's G.F.G.are introducing an online Lotto to run alongside the traditional Envelope Lotto. This will be launched this Wednesday coming and the weekly draws will recommence on Wednesday 14th April. A great and simple way to support your club plus the chance to win great prizes.  Please WATCH THIS SPACE for further updates.

PLEASE SUPPORT former Naomh Fionnbarra stalwart Trevor Dolan and his wife Sandra as they are trying to raise funds for their son Harry, who has a very rare genetic disorder called MSL3 syndrome. He is currently the 1st  child in Ireland diagnosed with this condition and there is less than 50 children worldwide.

Trevor and Sandra have decided to try to raise funds for intensive private therapies for Harry which include, physiotherapy, occupational therapy speech and language therapy to name a few, while also help to fund research  studies for this condition.

Trevor was a club stalwart for Naomh Fionnbarra in the 90's & 00's and played with the club until 2010.  He won an Intermediate Championship in 2001 and a Junior Championship in 2010 with the Barrs. The Dolan family have a long association with the Finbarrs as Trevor's dad Sean and uncle Tom played with the club for many years and Sean also served as a referee.  Trevor also served as a selector for our intermediate team under Cathal O'Hanlon in 2016. Always a complete gentleman, the Naomh Fionnbarra & St Anne's GFG club would like to offer our help to Harry, Trevor and Sandra at this time.

Donations towards Harry’s cause would be greatly appreciated by the Dolan family. To donate please visit the link to their Go Fund Me page:

42 lives across Ireland have been saved by Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) located in GAA facilities being used on members of their communities. The GAA is marking this by launching the Community Heart Programme which is encouraging every club to be prepared in case of such emergencies.

Naomh Fionnbarra & St. Anne's G.F.G. would like to remind all members and non members that our grounds remain closed to the public as long as this lock down continues. Anyone who uses the club facilities at this time are not covered by GAA Public Liability Insurance as the Gaa have postponed this insurance since the start of Lockdown 3.0. Please respect the clubs position in this situation, thank you.

The club would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family of Christy Kearney, Castlebellingham. Christy was a great GAA volunteer with both his club O'Connells and County Louth GAA.  May he Rest In Peace.
