Championship: Best of luck to the Louth team and manager Wayne Kierans in the Leinster Championship next Sunday against Longford in Mullingar.

Underage: The GAA has confirmed that all U20 and Minor inter-county competitions will be paused until further notice. The association received clarification from the Department of Sport that underage games would not be allowed to go ahead under the government’s Level 5 restrictions.

Draw: Wee County Double House draw is still on and will now take place on 4th April 2021 Tickets are available from any O’Connells committee member or online from www.pickahouse.ie. The winner of the €5,000 giveaway for those who bought their ticket before September 30th was Dennis Pena from Drogheda. The Double House draw committee have another promotion “Halloween Treat” is a €5,000 giveaway where 5 winners will each receive €1,000. Anyone who has purchased a ticket for the Wee County Double House draw before 31st October is automatically entered into the Halloween Treat.

Ladies: TG4 will broadcast nine live games from this year’s Ladies Football championships and the other 33 games will be streamed on various other platforms. Coverage will conclude with the Croke Park double-header of senior and intermediate championship finals on 20 December, while the junior championship final will also be shown live on the weekend of 5/6 December. TG4′s coverage will be led this year by former Galway footballer and analyst Máire Ní Bhraonáin, who will be joined by Rena Buckley, Sorcha Furlong and Michelle Ryan on analysis.

All-Irelands: Footage from the All-Ireland football and hurling finals from 1947 to 1968 has become available online thanks to the Irish Film Institute. The ‘GAA Collection’ was made available on the IFI Player and is free to view for a limited time. The footage shows coverage of the All-Ireland football finals from 1947 to 1959 and hurling final footages from 1948 to 1968, featuring commentary from legendary broadcaster Micheál O’Hehir. It is available to view on the IFI Player at ifiplayer.ie.
