Finals: After last weekend’s action the finalist for the Louth GAA Championships are known. In the junior final Lannleire will play Noamh Fionnbarra next Saturday in Darver at 2pm. The Intermediate final will see St. Brides versus Kilkerley Emmets also in Darver at 6pm. The senior final will take place the following day, Sunday also in Darver between Naomh Mairtin and Ardee St. Marys with a throw in time of 4.30pm. Poc Fada: The GAA has confirmed that the M Donnelly Poc Fada na hEireann finals will not be held in the 2020 calendar year. The decision comes after the release of the Government’s "Resilience and Recovery 2020-2021: Plan for Living with COVID-19" last Tuesday. Plans are now in place to stage the finals early next year subject to Government guidelines and health and safety measures.
All-Irelands: Footage from the All-Ireland football and hurling finals from 1947 to 1968 has become available online thanks to the Irish Film Institute. The ‘GAA Collection’ was made available on the IFI Player and is free to view for a limited time. The footage shows coverage of the All-Ireland football finals from 1947 to 1959 and hurling final footages from 1948 to 1968, featuring commentary from legendary broadcaster Micheál O’Hehir. It is available to view on the IFI Player at ifiplayer.ie.
