St Francis Dromard club notes

March 01, 2021

St Francis Dromard Minor Board AGM 2021:  We will be holding our 2021 AGM online on Sunday, March 7th, at 4 PM. We will discuss what happened in 2020 & together develop a plan for 2021 and beyond. Any club members wishing to attend, can you please send an email to [email protected] so that we can add you to the online meeting. Your attendance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Dromard Minor Board.

2021 Season:  Anyone interested in getting involved in the club for 2021 please let any member of the club offers know. Coaching is one of the most important activities within the club, it is rewarding for both the players and the coaches. Child Safeguarding and Coach Training is provided by Longford GAA. We are always looking for more coaches to be involved. The details of the AGM will be published later.

Athletic Development Program: Thanks to Longford GAA for supporting Coaches with resources & activities appropriate for players aged Nursery to U15 level. A number of Sections are available from Fundamental Movement Challenges (4 - 7 years), 100 Touch Skills Challenge (8 - 13 years), Athletic Development (13 - 17 years). All parents are encouraged to get their kids out and get some well organised exercise.

Congratulations to Cian McPhillips on his continued success on the running track. His 800M dash was special, with new records for himself and Ireland. Of course, Cian is a pupil of Moyne CS and friend to many in Dromard GAA.

St. Patricks Day event: Anyone interested in preforming a song, music or a story to share within our community, please send a video to Paul Hourican @ 0872482055, via WhatsApp. A video will be produced, like the Trad for Trócaire video. This aim is to celebrate St.Patricks Day and let our community enjoy the local talent, in the safety of their own homes.
