Leinster Championship: Commiserations to the Longford senior footballers on their narrow defeat to Laois in Pearse Park on Sunday, bringing to an end the inter county season for this year. Well done to Joseph Hagan who played very well against Laois and scored an excellent point in the second half. A special word of thanks to Joseph and kitman Danny O’Toole for their commitment and dedication to the county cause and for representing their club with distinction over a long season. Both men played their part in a successful season which saw Longford win the O’Byrne Cup in January for the first time in 20 years and secure their status in Division 3.

New Walking Track: Its great to see our new walking track being used extensively. Please be aware that the lights on the walkway turn off at 10pm each night. You are also asked to please remember when using the walking track to keep your dogs on a leash and clean up dog litter. Bicycles are not allowed on the track and ask your children not to take their bikes on the track. Thank you.
