Firstly, we want to pay tribute to a former Limerick goalkeeper and Claughaun stalwart Jim Hogan who sadly passed away on Monday 7th March. He won 2 County titles with Claughaun, an inter county league winner in '71, a '73 All Ireland medalist and most notably was an absolute gent. Our condolences go out to Pauline, Niamh & Dan including all relatives and friends. Rest in Peace.
County Intermediate Hurling League Round 1, Claughaun/Old Christians V Killeedy is scheduled for 29th March (Tue) but this time may change due to cancelled fixtures. Keep in contact for dates
.
U21 Claughaun v Ballybrown was called off due to bad weather and pitch conditions. Keep in contact with your coach for rescheduled times. They will go out against Kildimo/Pallaskenry in Claughaun at 12pm Sunday 13th March, we need a big performance lads, best of luck.
Our u14's played on Saturday the 5th March in a challenge game against Ballyhea (Co. Clare). It turned out to be a highly contested game with plenty scores. It finished 5:7 to 3:11 - Well done lads. Our first championship game is against Murroe Boher on Sunday 20th March at 11am. Our u14 footballers unfortunately lost out to Fr. Casey's in Rathkeale last Thursday evening. The finishing score was 4:7 to 1:4, we had conceded too many scores early in the game to climb our way back, we had a much better second half. Keep it going lads and we'll build towards a successful year.
The lotto numbers drawn on 7th March were: 10, 15, 16, 22 with no winner. Next week has €8,600 up for grabs. We are encouraging members to help with ticket sales for our own lotto and for members to join the Limerick Draw. These are the largest fundraisers for the club that help with the running of our facilities. For details see our website and social media.
