LIMERICK SENIOR HURLERS

Massive congratulations to the Limerick senior hurlers who were crowned Munster Senior Hurling champions for the third year on the trot.

They did it in style completely blitzing Tipperary in the second half to claw back a ten-point half time deficit to win by five points.

A truly remarkable turnaround by the extremely talented and hardworking team.

We had three players involved in the shape of Will O Donoghue at mid field who worked his socks off, Peter Casey at corner forward who contributed five points from play and Conor Boylan a late substitute.

We now sit back and await the qualifiers and quarter finals with interest.

 FOOTBALL

Our under 13 footballers had an excellent win during the week against Monaleen during the week when they played some great football to win on a score line of 7-10 to 2-2. Well done to the team and management.

Our under 17 footballers were also in action during the week seeing off Askeaton 4-12 to 2-9 after trailing by four points at the break. Again, well done to the team and management.

CAMOGIE

We had plenty of County representatives on show over the last few days.

On the senior front they were dealt the cruellest of blows with a last gasp penalty sealing a victory for Wexford. Sinead McNamara and Laura O Neill playing well for Limerick.

On the under 15 we also had 3 representatives in the shape of Lucy Hartnett, Louise McNamara and Katie O Rahilly who all played well in spite of coming up short against Laois.

Jayne Meaney who is vice captain on the Under 16B camogie team also saw action

Well done to all the girls concerned.

LIMERICK UNDER 20 HURLERS

Best wishes to Emmet McEvoy and his Limerick team mates as they open their Munster championship account against Clare.

We wish the team and management the very best of luck
