Senior Championship

Mohill senior team have now reached the semi-final stages of the championship. It was a great performance from the 20 players used on Saturday against Gortletteragh. They now play Leitrim Gaels in the semi-final in two weeks

Ladies Senior Championship

The girls were up against a very strong and experienced Manorhamilton team on Sunday morning. The Mohill team from the goalkeeper out played beyond themselves and earned themselves a draw and indeed could have won if they had one more minute. The panel was: A O Brien, E McGuinness, N Higgins, E Gordon, C Mulligan, A Reynolds, C Beirne, C Canning, C Tyrell, E Quinn, N Beirne, D Beirne, S Boyle, K McGuinness, A Macklin, O Gordon. 

New Babies Down Under

Two ex-players from the ladies club, Catherine Scollan and Deirdre McDermott gave birth in Australia last week. Catherine and her husband Gary Mills were the proud parents of another girl Kia Mary, a little sister for Madi. Deirdre and her husband Steve Honiball were very happy to welcome Owen into this world a baby brother for Liam. We wish them all a long and happy life

Junior C Championship

These lads put up a good show against Ballinagleara on Sunday morning in the championship. Nice to see Niall Armstrong, Colm Beirne and Kevin Kilrane returning after a long lay-off, all acquitting themselves very well. The panel was: S Moran, C Beck, S Kilrane, J Armstrong, K Curran, K Reilly, S McGourty, C Kennedy, N Armstrong 0-1, C Beirne 0-2, K Kilrane 0-1, J Cosgrove 0-3, D Wynne 0-1, C Beirne 0-6, F Cassells, J Tighe.            

Lotto Results

There was no winner of this week’s Jackpot of €2500. Numbers drawn were 3-4-14-18. Lucky dip winners were: €70 Mike Burke Mohill,  €40 Sinead Casey Mohill, €20 Paul Foy Árd na Sí. Please join the Lotto online or in Baxters Centra or Pauls Newsagent.  

Drive-in Bingo 

Bingo continues in the Park on Monday evening starting at 7.30, gates open at 6:30pm. Great prizes and a Jackpot of €500.

Minor Div 2 and 3

Both the U17 teams are still in contention but on Monday last the first team were beaten by a resurgent St Josephs in Aughavas and the Div 3 team suffered the same fate against Drumkeerin the following day. They play St Brigids and Fenagh at home in Mohill this week.

Building Draw

The response of everyone approached in the Mohill area to subscribe to the Big Draw has been heartning. A big thank you to the volunteer sellers who have been out last week and have covered the local area. Anyone who was missed can contact Paul at 0876577398 or Padraig at 0868360208. The sellers will now be designated to the bordering clubs. The prizes are enormous: A new Opel car, A Purebred Heifer, €500 Lough Rynn Castle Voucher, €500 Wood Flooring all for a mere €20 a ticket or 3 for €50. Great bargains online also at mpsl.ie.
