Underage: 

We wish a speedy recovery to Cian McNulty who sustained a broken collar bone in the first game of the U17’s championship last week. Cian was unfortunate to meet with this injury and will disappointedly have to put his commitment to club and county on hold for the foreseeable future. Best wishes to Andrew Bohan who suffered an elbow injury in training recently and will also be out of action for a while. We wish both lads all the best and hope to see them back on the field soon.  

 

U-13’s
Our U-13s played Melvin Gaels at home last week which was a very one-sided affair, with Rinn Gaels coming away with a comfortable win on the night. 

 

U15’s: 

Our U15’s were up against it against St. Mary’s last Thursday evening in páirc Tomás, Carrick-on-Shannon. After a tough battle and some great displays of football from our young team, St Mary’s proved stronger on the day on a score line of 6-16 to 3-09. 

 

U17’s: 

Our U17’s had their first game on Monday 28thJune when they travelled to Ballinamore to take on McDiarmada Gaels. The loss of mid-fielder Cian McNulty to injury ten minutes into the game didn’t help the struggle the lads faced, however they powered on and took some nice scores from play, including two great goals in the second half. The lads gave it their all but the home team proved too strong and took a comfortable win with a final score of 4-14 to 2-07. 

The second game for this group was in the park last Monday against Allen Gaels. We will report next week. Next Monday, July 12th July they travel to Manorhamilton for the third game of the Championship against Glencar-Manor. This game is fixtured for 7pm.  

 

Masonite League 2021: 

Last weekend we played Carrigallen at home in the third game of the 2021 Masonite ACL Division 2. This contest ended in a draw with a final score of 1-12 each. Next weekend we have the final game of the round stages when we meet Dromahair – the game will be played on Friday evening at 8pm in Dromahair. 

 

Masonite Reserve League 2021: 

Last Sunday afternoon we played Mohill in the second round of the Reserve league securing a win on a finishing score of 3-09 to 0-12.  The next game is against Aughavas on home ground at 7pm on Saturday evening next, 10th July.
