Coaching

All the coaching teams are nearly in place for the year ahead, with some great additions from the senior panel, joining our teams throughout the age-groups, which is brilliant to see and they will be unbelievable assets to Mohill’s GAA future development. We have Ciarán Kennedy, Jordan Reynolds, Ronan Gordon and Niall Flynn so far and we are blessed with former players. Anyone else willing to help will be more than welcome as we can never have enough coaches. We will also need Covid Officers when hopefully the non-contact action returns at the end of April. Anyone who would like to assist at any age group as a coach or a helper to the teams contact Paul Murphy at 0876577398.

Turas

Leitrim Co Board are currently introducing their Turas workshops to the clubs around the county for the underage coaches. Mohill’s workshop will be on April 15. Hopefully we will have a good turnout online for the introduction. Turas has been run very successfully in Leinster for years and Leitrim is the first county outside Leinster to take it up. Improving the coaches will lead to improved players.

Cúl Camp

Everyone will be delighted to hear that we will have a Cúl Camp this year. The difference this time is that the club will be running it. All age groups eligible for the Cúl Camps will receive a text letting them know when it’s opening as all the booking must be done online. 

Underage training

Coaches are sending out training plans for the different age groups to keep them going over the lockdown. Players are being encouraged to continue to work on their skills as it won’t be long before underage training is back. 

Lotto

There was no winner of this week’s Jackpot of €12,400. The numbers drawn were: 4-9-13-30. Lucky dip winners were: €70 Leona Costello Mohill. €40 Celine Kavanagh Mohill, €20 Angela Mitchell Mohill.
