Fenagh St Caillins club notes

September 15, 2020

Connacht Gold SFC - Hard luck to the Fenagh St Caillins senior team, management Joe Flynn and Conor Silke and their backroom team, who bowed out of this year's Leitrim senior football championship following defeat to a very talented Mohill team. Thank you for the enjoyment your displays have given us supporters this season whether it was in attending at your games or watching the broadcasts. This group of players are only beginning on their journey and have no doubt gained a great deal of experience from the challenges they faced through both the group and knockout stages of this season's campaign. They will come back next year stronger and better. Thank you to the team behind the live broadcasting of the recent games for your excellent coverage.

Fenagh St Caillins Sponsor A Player 2020 -While we hoped that this week would have seen preparations commencing for an appearance in this years Leitrim Senior Championship Final, this just wasn't to be for us this year despite the best efforts of all involved. While we thank those involved for their efforts, if it wasnt for the ongoing support of the families of our players, the wider community and our supporters further afield, together with local businesses, the professional manner to which the team prepared would not be possible. We thank you sincerely for the 91 player sponsors which were received over 6 days in the lead up to last Saturday's semi final. Thank you also to our main sponsors, Gilheaney & Co, Ollie Honeyman, Gerry Mcloughlin Abbey Property Sales and Gerties Canal Stop. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated and we look forward to more great occasions in 2021 and beyond.

Fenagh Ladies - well done to the Fenagh ladies who have reached the Leitrim junior final next weekend. Let's get the red and black flags out to show them our support.

Barna Waste u13 Championship - on Friday evening last our u13 team came out on top in a playoff against St Mary's Kiltoghert to reach the championship semi final. This takes place on Friday evening at 6pm v Allen Gaels in Drumshanbo.
