Dicksboro are through to their first Kilkenny SHC final in three years after an impressive eight-point win over O'Loughlin Gaels at UPMC Nowlan Park.

Shane Stapleton top-scored for the winners with 1-10 including two superb sideline cuts while Aidan Nolan notched 1-1 for Mark Dowling's charges who await the winners of today's second semi-final between Ballyhale Shamrocks and James Stephens.

Level on 0-8 apiece at half-time, it was nip and tuck until the 36th minute when Nolan blasted past O'Loughlin Gaels goalkeeper Stephen Murphy to give his side a 1-9 to 0-9 lead.

The excellent Stapleton followed up with a second major for Dicksboro in the closing stages to seal their decider berth.
