Mid Kerry raced away from Feale Rangers in the first-half to record a 0-15 to 0-9 win and stamp their ticket for the Kerry senior football championship final.

The winners were in superb form early on at Austin Stack Park, running up a 0-5 to nothing lead inside the opening eight minutes and by half-time they had the scoreboard reading 0-11 to 0-2.

Liam Carey and Eanna O’Connor were their chief tormentors during the opening half in Tralee and, after the turnaround, the same two players along with Jack O’Connor (2) would sail over points to stretch the lead to a dozen.

To their credit, Feale Rangers never threw in the towel as they shot six unanswered points in the closing 20 minutes, as Barry Mahony and Martin stack started to find their range, but there was no epic comeback as Mid Kerry closed out the win.

Next up for them is a decider date against either East Kerry or Dingle who battle it out tomorrow (Sunday) at the same venue at 2.30pm.
