Micheál Donoghue back in management with Dublin

August 22, 2022

New Dublin senior hurling boss Micheál Donoghue.

Micheál Donoghue has been appointed Dublin senior hurling manager on a three-year term.

The surprise appointment was announced by Dublin GAA this morning. The 2017 All-Ireland SHC winning manager succeeds another Galway man - Mattie Kenny - in the role. Donoghue's backroom team includes fellow Galway men, Francis Forde and Noel Larkin, and former Westmeath manager Shane O'Brien, who will also take charge of the Dublin U20s.

Dublin GAA chairman Mick Seavers said: "We're delighted to announce the appointment of Micheál and his backroom team.

"Micheál brings a wealth of experience to the role. We wish him and the panel all the very best and look forward to working with Micheál and his team over the coming years."
