Congratulations to Kilmoyley on beating the fancied Tipp champions, Moyne-Templetuohy in the Munster club intermediate hurling quarter-final by 4-12 to 0-14!

Good win but i'd imagine it was expected in Tipp. Essentially a 3rd tier team in Tipp. Tipp intermediate clubs will far stronger next year with the long over due restructuring of the chsip

Was there much resistance to this restructure within Tipp? seen the twitter page 'hurler on the ditch' not happy that certain traditions were been almost binned. Looking in from the outside the changes make perfect sense.

Interesting to see how Kilmoyley do against Dunhill who are 14th in theory on the Waterford hurling ladder compared to Moyne who were about 33rd on the Tipp hurling ladder.

Who's in charge of kilmoyley legend?

Great win but they're no longer under the radar now.

Why are Kilmoyley playing intermediate lads? If you look at clubs playing in Leinster and Ulster from counties who would be Kerry's regular sparring partners, they compete very well at senior level. I would have thought the top Kerry clubs would also be in that bracket?

I'd say it's probably because we'd be murdered at senior level baldy.

As they used to say on the fast show years ago, know your limits :-)

John Meyler has been involved with them for years, either coach or manager.

Yeah he managed Wexford and Carlow along with Cork Senior and underage teams has the done the club scene too.

From Tacumshane in Wexford originally but has lived in cork for over 40 years at this stage I'd say.

Fair play, he gets around.

What took him to Cork, was he a Guard? I think that's how John Egan ended up in Cork.

He went to college in UCC and ended up staying working as a lecturer in CIT. Yeah your right about John Egan.

He's got a good job so as he has plenty of time for training teams, fair play to him.

He's double jobbing as we'd say down here :-) his son played soccer for Ireland 1 time, don't know if he's still at it or not.

Yeah David Meyler had to retire from soccer at about 30 from a knee issue, think he coaches with Ireland u17s now and does a bit of media too, he's still only 32 now I'd say
