Replying To yew_tree:  "I would rather play junior b for my club than win a county or all Ireland with a bigger senior club up the road. Your view would not be shared by the majority and goes against everything the GAA stands for. Pride of club, parish and playing with friends who you grew up with.

There are circumstances where players transfer because they move far away from their own club which is fine but move to win things? No way. See how it worked out for Donal Vaughan who transferred 20mins in the road to Castlebar form his home club Ballinrobe."
We have a good system in Kerry where if novice junior or intermediate players are good enough they can play with a divisional side and it means you can play in the county championship what ever grade your club play at.

Now that doesn't mean lads from smaller clubs don't try to transfer to bigger clubs but that is usually work related or because their club is obliterated and can't field a team.
