Another great leaves us in Pat Nolan R.I.P. Image coming in after the great Art Foley and keeping up the standard. If you played goals as a kid you wanted to be Ollie Walsh, Seamus Durack or yes Pat Nolan.

RIP Pat Nolan. It was nearer to the end of his career that I saw him play!

He made an amazing save in the second half of the1962 final against Tipperary. He fumbled a long-range shot and as the ball headed towards the net for what would have been a soft goal, he instinctively swivelled and swung one-handed to divert the ball to safety. I haven't seen anything like it since.
